Community Corrections Partnership Advisory Board

  • Appointed by the Sacramento County Community Corrections Partnership to assist in updating the AB 109 Public Safety Realignment Plan.

  • Worked collaboratively with community stakeholders and criminal justice professionals to draft a strategic plan that will improve outcomes of our justice-involved population as they reenter the community following incarceration. The plan was approved by the Board of Supervisors in April 2021.

  • Participate in ongoing evaluation, analysis, and community outreach as the plan is implemented.

Criminal Justice Reform Committee

  • At the request of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, the Criminal Justice Reform Committee was formed in 2019 to address issues facing the justice system and its partners with the goals of reducing recidivism and promoting public safety through improved administration of multisystem services for justice-involved individuals with behavioral health concerns.

  • Provided specific program components to assist in the design of the Mental Health Services Act Forensic Behavioral Health Innovation Project.

Human Services Coordinating Council

  • Appointed by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors to advise them on human services in the county and to facilitate coordination and communication between agencies and the community.

  • Directed a county-wide community needs assessment and presented the committee’s findings and recommendations to the Board of Supervisors prior to county budget deliberations in 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018.

Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board

  • Appointed by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors to advise them on policies and goals pertaining to substance use prevention and treatment in Sacramento County.

  • Evaluate the community substance use prevention and treatment needs and review the scope of services available in the county.

  • Provide budget recommendations that will support substance use prevention and treatment priorities.

  • Educate the community about substance use prevention and treatment issues and concerns.

  • Identified a critical need in the community for quality medical transcription and recruited physician groups in need of those services.

  • Hired, trained, and managed a workforce of 20 independent subcontractors and ensured quality control and timeliness of transcription.

  • Managed billing, payroll, and accounts receivable/payable.
